Cost: $250 student ticket, $300 professional ticket

Adventure Tribe Retreats is delighted to host a retreat designed specifically for mental health service providers to experience a weekend immersed in Yoga practice and philosophy, experiential workshops, healthy meals, and the great outdoors. During this event, you will have opportunities to engage with other professionals, learn how to incorporate Yoga and mindfulness into your practice, and learn about yourself through reflective exercises. In addition, you will gain knowledge from your peers and colleagues through interactive group discussions.  

This all-inclusive weekend event includes space to camp and access to the handcrafted outdoor shower house, delicious plant-based meals, a variety of Yoga classes, meditation workshops, guided hikes around the gorgeous Lost Hill Lake family property and private views of the Meramec River.

This intimate gathering will offer opportunities to rekindle (or create) your connection with nature, your food, the body, and your Self.  We invite you to relax, unwind, learn something new and be present with us in a shaded 50-year-old Walnut Grove. The beautiful LHLE venue offers private access to the Meramec River, Lost Hill Lake, views of golden hay fields, gentle hills, scenic vistas, shaded mature walnut grove and sanctuary from the stressors of the modern world. Adventure Tribe Retreats is excited to bring this special event to this incredible venue and share the magic of the LHLE property with you.

Who should attend this mini retreat?

This mini retreat is designed for professionals and students who provide mental health services or work in an agency or organization that provides mental health services. This includes but is not limited to Mental Health Therapists and Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists, etc. Retreat participants will gain resources and techniques that can be integrated into their current services. A basic understanding of mental health theory and principles will ensure participants receive the full value of this retreat.


What should participants expect?

During this retreat participants will learn about Yoga philosophy and history, neuroscience and the impacts of meditation. We will also engage in practices from several Yoga lineages and understand how specific techniques can be utilized to help clients with different diagnosis and treatment goals.


Sample Itinerary:

Friday night:

  • Morning meditation

  • Morning meditation to Thinking Rock

What should participants bring?

Retreat participants should bring anything they need to enjoy a weekend outdoors.

This includes: camping equipment, head lamp, chair, cooler, snacks, and appropriate clothing for changing temperatures and activities throughout the day. We recommend dressing in layers.

Please bring a Yoga mat, towel, refillable water bottle, and any Yoga props you use in your home practice (don’t worry if you don’t have any or even know what this means). You should also bring a notebook and pen or pencil for taking notes during the workshops.

We ask that all participants leave electronic devices, including mobile phones, in their tents during workshops. You might want to wear a watch if keeping time is important to you. Finally, bring anything that will make you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the weekend (ex: cozy blanket, herbal tea, essential oils, etc.).


What is the food like?

Adventure Tribe Retreats provides ALL meals during your mini retreat weekend.

Saturday - breakfast, lunch, dinner

Sunday - breakfast, lunch

Meals are plant-based and many ingredients are grown on site in the Williford Family Garden. We provide hearty, delicious meals with fresh ingredients and balanced flavors and we know that everyone has unique tastes and preferences. Therefore, snacks, coolers, and outside food is permitted.

Please inform us about food allergies upon registration - we will do our best to make special accommodations but cannot guarantee all special requests.
